Wow, what a cold winter we are seeing! Check out this shot of the HEB car wash in Round Rock taken this week (Photo by Issiaga Traore) and posted on KXAN Austin News Channel.

Yeah, it's cold!  However, record temperatures don't seem to be cooling off Buyers for the New Year.

In Real Estate News - December numbers are in and 2013 has out performed every year for the last 5 years in terms of volume of homes Sold for the Austin Metropolitan area.

As shown in the Monthly Residential Closed Units Graph, (Courtesy of Austin Title) the numbers supplied by the Austin Board of Realtors, indicate that the Strong Sales Volume in 2013 has far outpaced the previous 5 Years.

The curve seems to indicate a continuation of the trend as we roll into 2014.  Meanwhile, there are some serious changes taking place in the lending world destined to make home buying just a little more complex in the months ahead.  If you are Buying or Selling a home, don't wait around for the "Ice to Melt" there has been no time in recent history that appears to be better than it is Right NOW.  Get your start on the new year in  a new home and e sure way to get a jump on the competition for Buyers is to get out there first. At the same time as silly as it sounds the market is really prime for Sellers, especially move up Buyers looking to move toward rural Texas.

Be sure to stay tuned as we bring you many more new housing updates and market details for the 2014!
