Cedar Park TX Residents who are Costco Fans certainly have something to smile about with the new opening of the the Costco Wholesale Store at 183A and FM-1431 (Whitestone Blvd).

The location is great and the ease of entry is much better than the the Austin Location on North Research Blvd. where big traffic jams were familiar to anyone who visited there, especially around the holidays or weekends.

The Cedar Park Costco Location Opened just in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday and Black Friday Shopping officially rolling open their doors on November 22, 2013.  Since the opening day, I have visited the store several times already, including the opening day and at least three other occasions since then.

The experience is definitely a better one than I was used to at the old location.  Access is much easier to figure out, there is  less crowding in the store and all of the same great pricing and member advantages remain.  I am very happy to have membership access at a new store so close to home but I am even more delighted to have the Gasoline Station closer to home and much more accessible.

Even though other retailers seem competitive on fuel prices in the immediate area, (especially Murphy Express/Wall-Mart), Costco takes their filling station to a new level.  Unencumbered by drivers who abandon vehicles to "pop-in" a convenience store for a soda or smokes, their whole approach is much more singular.  Get in, get your gas, and get out!  Perfect if you want low prices and don't want to wait in long lines or jockey around other drivers coming in and out in all directions.  Their service island is a one way pull-through and fill hoses are long enough to gas up from any pump no matter what side your fuel door is on. In this Cedar Park Denizen's opinion, the new Costco Store is a welcome development, more competition for our fuel dollar means better prices at the pump and gassing up here is a nicer experience than almost anywhere else around!
