The thrift store welcomes donations of clothing, books, furniture, and appliances. Hours are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday.

    The Salvation Army is best known for its iconic bell-ringers spotted on street corners and outside stores during the holidays, but their good works go on year-round. Clothing, furniture, appliances, and household goods can be contributed to the Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center. These stores are specifically designated to support the Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers, where people dealing with substance abuse can get assistance to work towards a second chance. Hours are 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday and Sunday.

Their network of retail stores helps raise funding for programs such as the Goodwill Career & Technical Academy, which offers free training, career support, and job placement services. Collectibles, clothing, jewelry, and electronics are just a few of the items available for sale. Hours are 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily except Sunday when doors open at 10 a.m.

    In 1997, Austin Pets Alive! started as an advocacy group dedicated to saving the lives of vulnerable homeless animals near Austin homes for sale.
